Three-way battle for top 6 on Friday | PULS 24 broadcasts G99-AVS

Short text 970 CharactersPlain text

The race for the top six and direct playoff qualification in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League could hardly be more exciting in the last month of the Regular Seaon. There is currently only one win between sixth and ninth place. Seventh-placed HC Tesla Orli Znojmo could oust the spusu Vienna Capitals from sixth place as early as Friday. However, the Caps would have to drop points against bottom-placed Linz. But also HC Pustertal, who will meet Znojmo in a direct duel, on the ninth place could already spend Friday night above the line.

As the match between EC-KAC and HCB Südtirol Alperia scheduled for Friday is currently still being clarified, the program of TV partner PULS 24 has been changed at short notice. Instead of the KAC-HCB match, the Friday match Moser Medical Graz99ers vs. Fehérvár AV19 will be broadcast (start of broadcast 19:10 | faceoff 19:30). The Styrians play the first part of the double-header against the Hungarians already on Thursday.

bet-at-home ICE Hockey League:

Fri, 11.02.2022, 19:15 spusu Vienna Capitals - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: NIKOLIC M., RENCZ, Muzsik, Vaczi | >>PPV-Stream<<

The spusu Vienna Capitals welcome the Steinbach Black Wings Linz in the fight for the Top-6. Currently, the Capitals are still above the red line, but the lead over chaser Znojmo is only one point with the same number of games. The Bundeshauptstädter won two of their last three games - in the double-header against league leader Salzburg they even took four of six possible points. The Linz team, on the other hand, failed to pick up a point in their double-header against the EC-KAC. Against the Viennese team, however, the last team in the standings made it to the penalty shootout twice. However, the Upper Austrians have not yet been able to claim a victory in the three season duels against Vienna so far. Head coach Raimo Summanen left the Steinbach Black Wings today. Assistant coach Mark Szücs takes over until the end of the season.

Fri, 11.02.2022, 19:30 Moser Medical Graz99er - Hydro Fehérvár AV19
Referees: FICHTNER, HRONSKY, Bedynek, Durmis | LIVE on PULS 24 and in Free-Stream

Moser Medical Graz99ers and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 meet twice within 24 hours. The first part of the double-header in Graz will already take place on Thursday. The second part on Friday will be broadcast live on PULS 24 and in the worldwide free stream. For the 99ers, these are two enormously important games in the fight for the pre-playoffs. They are currently in tenth place and thus in the last pre-playoff spot. Fehérvár, on the other hand, can make the direct jump into the playoffs, even though they had to give up their second place in the standings to EC Grand Immo VSV last time.

Fri, 11.02.2022, 19:45 HC Pustertal - HC Tesla Orli Znojmo
Referees: OFNER, ZRNIC, Pardatscher, Zgonc | >>PPV-Stream<<

Both HC Pustertal and HC Tesla Orli Znojmo are currently between the two lines. For both teams the gap to the top-6 as well as to the chaser on the eleventh place is small. The Czechs currently have the better cards, who could move into the top-6 with a full success. However, HC Pustertal is close on Znojmo's heels and could leave them behind already on Friday. The two teams have only dueled once so far this season - the Eagles prevailed 4-2 in December. Now they cross the sticks three times in the next 16 days and take away important points from each other in direct duels, in the fight for playoff and pre-playoff places. Both teams presented themselves in the past days from their best side. While the South Tyroleans recently brought in two "threes" in a row, Znojmo could not even give up a single point in the last three games.

Fri, 11.02.2022, 19:30 EC-KAC - HCB Südtirol Alperia
Referees: SIEGEL, SMETANA, Nothegger, Seewald

As the match between EC-KAC and HCB Südtirol Alperia scheduled for Friday is currently still being clarified, this match will not be broadcast on PULS 24. It would be the duel fifth against fourth. In the first two meetings, the home team prevailed in each case. Klagenfurt recently celebrated two commanding victories in their double-header against Steinbach Black Wings Linz, thus consolidating their place among the top six for the time being.
