EC Red Bull Salzburg has a great opportunity on Friday evening to secure its fourth championship title in a row. For the first time since the premiere title in 2007, the decisive victory could be celebrated in front of a home crowd. The tension in the team remains correspondingly high.

“Of course it's difficult not to think about the title,” says Ali Wukovits, who has been playing in Salzburg since 2021 and has already won three championships with the Red Bulls. “Everyone dreams of the title - just like Klagenfurt still does. But we have to approach the game as if it's 0:0 in the series. The KAC will fight until the last second and give everything. We're expecting an extremely intense game - probably the toughest of the entire series.”

Even if the cup seems to be within reach, the team's strategy remains clear: full concentration on the essentials. “The key is to keep the focus small. If we think shift by shift, period by period and do the little things right, we're on the right track,” emphasizes the 28-year-old.

The fact that the series has gone so well so far has also come as something of a surprise within the team: “Of course we're a bit surprised. We are pleased that it has been so successful so far. But three wins are not enough - the series is only over with the fourth. We can't sit back yet. We have to go into the duels even more, be even more present in front of Dahm's goal. If we do that, we hope we can end the series on Friday.”
