Tomazevic stays in Villach | New forward for the Pioneers

Blaz Tomazevic will continue to play for the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV in the coming season. The 25-year-old forward, who has been playing for the Villach professionals since this season, extended his contract by one season. Meanwhile, the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg signed a new player. The forward Andreas Heier moves from the Norwegian top club Stjernen Hockey to Vorarlberg.

Blaz Tomazevic started his hockey career in his home country at Jesenice and moved to Villach in 2014 to join the junior team. There he played very successfully in the U18 and U20 of the "Eagles", before he moved back to Jesenice. In the Alps Hockey League, the winger then scored a total of 159 points in 212 games, including 43 goals. In the 2021/22 season, he took the next step in his career and signed with HK SZ Olimpija in the win2day ICE Hockey League. This summer he signed with the "Eagles" and has now extended his contract early for another year. Blaz Tomazevic is happy to continue to stay in Villach: "I feel very, very comfortable here in Villach and in the team and I am also very happy to continue to play for VSV. We have a very strong team this year, we want to be successful together and be in the final at the end of the season."

EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV team manager Andreas Napokoj on the contract extension: "Blaz embodies the VSV virtues - he always gives his all, always shows a lot of heart and passion. But he is also a player who still has potential for development. We will provide him with a professional environment to do so, to become an even better and more complete player."

Pioneers sign Norwegian forward
Bottom of the table BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg strengthened their offense with Andreas Heier. The Norwegian had been active with Stjernen Hockey since the 2019/20 season. The 29-year-old has also made numerous appearances for the Norwegian national team.
