Referees: GRUBER, PIRAGIC; spectators: 2000
The Bears welcomed their old rivals from Hungary in Zagreb on Friday night. Fehervar was dominant throughout the game and earned the clear-cut victory. The first period almost saw the home team hold on to the draw, but 4 seconds before the end Kuralt scored the go-ahead for the visitors: first he took a shot from the left, the Bears' goalie deflected but the puck came back from behind the net to give Kuralt a second chance that he doesn't miss. The Croats played a level game to start the second period but after a penalty to Robar, Fehervar pressed hard and doubled the lead through Sarauer in the 27th minute. The visitors were pressing hard to continue the game, Rosandic in Medvescak's net was making some great saves to keep the game close. But in the 35th minute Sarauer didn't give him any chances and scored his second of the night. Nothing really changed in the third period - the visitors were being more active and it paid off with two more goals. Kuralt scored to make it 4:0 in the 55th minute after a nifty pass from Hari from behind the goal, Kuralt was alone in front and easily scored. The goal was the last for Rosandic, who made way for youngster Nikolic to stand between the pipes. That was Nikolic's debut in the league. That didn't stop Kuralt from completing the hattrick - again the same combination from before Hari from behind the net to Kuralt who makes it look easy. Fehervar AV19 won 5:0 with goalie Daniel Kornakker celebrating his first Shut Out in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.
Goals AVS: Kuralt (20., 55., 58.), Sarauer (27./pp), K. Szabo (35.)
