Red Bull Hockey Juniors are getting closer to the Top 8. The Mozart Citizens are on place 12, but they miss just six points for a Playoff spot. This week the Austrians will start with two games against the top-clubs HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice (Tue/H) and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 (Wed/A). With six points the Red Bulls would join the Top eight. The Austrians had an up and down in their first five games in the year 2018, a win and a defeat always rotated. Lately the Mozart Citizens beat HK SZ Olimpija on Sunday at home 4:1. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice on the other side had a perfect start into the year 2018: The „Red Steelers“ have won all four games and were on Fire as well: The Slovenes have netted 23 goals in the last 240 minutes and received just six goals. Lately the Steel Citizens beat HK SZ Olimpija on Saturday at home clearly 7:2. Besides the „Red Steelers“ have played strong on the road in the last weeks: The Slovenes have won their last five road-games, inter alia just eleven day ago in the Mozart City 3:0. HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, that is on place 3 (68 points from 30 games), needs another six points to fix the Playoffs 2018.

Alps Hockey League, round 41:
Wed, 17.01.2018: HC Fassa Falcons – Rittner Buam (20:30)
Referees: BAJT, MORI, M. Cristeli, Pagon.
The Rittner Buam were defeated in all three games at the IIHF Continental Cup final tournament in Minsk in Belarus last weekend. Nevertheless the Italians had reasons to celebrate as well, because the Alps Hockey League Playoffs will take place in Ritten in the year 2018 too. After Saturday’s result the South Tyroleans will finish the regular season for sure in the Top 8. The Rittner Buam will be in action again in the Alps Hockey League on Wednesday in Fassa. The Champion travels there with good memories. The Leader has won the last eight meetings with the Falcons. Besides the South Tyroleans have collected points in their last thirtheen games since the beginning of November (eleven wins), lately they have celebrated five wins in a row. But take attention: The Falcons, who had a nine days break lately, managed to return on the winning street in their last round at home: The Falcons have beaten Cortina after 13 consecutive defeats on January 6th.

Alps Hockey League, round 9:
Wed, 17.01.2018: Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey 1935 – Red Bull Hockey Juniors (20:30)
Referees: KAMSEK, LAZZERI, Egger, Snoj.
The Alps Hockey League Playoffs will take place in Asiago in the year 2018 as well. The Red Bull Hockey Juniors are on a good way to reach the Post Season too. The Italians are the team of the hour, the „Yellow-Reds“ celebrated twelve consecutive wins lately. Migross Supermercato Asiago Hockey 1935 and Red Bull Hockey Juniors will face for the first time this season in Asiago on Wednesday. The Vice-Champion won both meetings with the Mozart Citizans 2016/17. The Austrians, who are unbeaten on the road 2018, will make their second game against a top 3 club within 26,5 hours. The Mozart Citizens welcome HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice on Tuesday and travel to Asiago on Wednesday.
