On Sunday, a five-game winning streak came to an end for Steinbach Black Wings Linz, in a 2:5 home loss against Vienna. The HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie, in turn, was able to win all of the past three games and is now back in second place in the standings. The Black Wings follow with only one point behind in third place. Great strength of the "Sharks" is once again the offense. With 35 goals scored, they currently have the most goals scored of all teams in the win2day ICE Hockey League and also already have ten more goals on their account than the Black Wings, with one game less played. With Adam Helewka and Brady Shaw, two players of the Innsbruck team lead the scoring with twelve points each. Also in the power play, the Tyroleans are in the lead with 38.71%. After a successful performance in the Continental Cup, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey returns to the win2day ICE Hockey League on Tuesday. With three wins from three games, they qualified confidently for the next round, which is scheduled in Nitra, Slovakia at the end of November. In the ICE, things are not yet going according to plan for the Italians. In seven games, the team at the bottom of the table has only one win, and this was right at the start of the season in Graz. They already had to face the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV on September 24th this season. The "Eagles" kept the upper hand with 5:3. Player of the match was defender Philipp Lindner, who scored twice for the first time. Overall, Villach has four wins from eight games this season, which means they are currently eighth in the stanings. On the last matchday, they narrowly beat Pustertal 1:0 at home.
