Bolzano - Innsbruck
In the first game after the international break, HCB Südtirol Alperia regained the lead in the table. The team from Bolzano defeated Villach 4:2 with two goals in the last 30 seconds, while Innsbruck was beaten by Linz in overtime despite taking a quick 2:0 lead and remains in second-last place. While HCB have scored the second most goals so far (57), the Tyroleans have the weakest offence (32). Bolzano won the first game of the season 4:2, and the Foxes have already prevailed twice in the preseason.

Fehérvár - Pioneers
Hydro Fehérvár AV19 slipped to second place on Wednesday with a 3:1 defeat at home to Vienna - the Hungarians' eight-game winning streak also came to an end. The Pioneers, on the other hand, got back on track with a 5:4 home win over HC Pustertal. Although the team from Vorarlberg is still bottom of the table, they managed to get within four points of the top 10. Fehérvár has by far the best defence in the league (26 goals conceded in 15 games), while the team from Feldkirch conceded the second most goals (58) of all teams. The Pioneers won the first match of the season 4:3 at home.

Asiago - Graz
The Moser Medical Graz99ers went into the international break with a 7:1 win over the Pioneers, and the third-placed Styrians return to league action on Friday in Asiago. The Italians suffered their third defeat in a row on Wednesday (3:5 against the KAC) and are in eleventh place. With Gennaro (21 points), Saracino and Ierullo (20 each), an Asiago trio leads the league's scoring charts. The teams have already faced each other twice this season, with the Italians prevailing 4:1 and 4:0 respectively.

Villach - Pustertal
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV only needed a few seconds to pick up a point in Bolzano on Wednesday. The Carinthians dropped to tenth place with their first defeat after three previous wins. HC Pustertal lost 4:5 in Feldkirch at the same time, but is still in fifth place. While Villach have picked up twelve of their 17 points at home so far, Pustertal have suffered five defeats in eight away games. The first duel of the season went to the Wolves from Bruneck (6:4).

Klagenfurt - Linz
The EC-KAC dominated the action in the first two periods of their away game at Asiago Hockey, ultimately winning 5:3 to return to the top six. Linz celebrated a comeback win in Innsbruck on Wednesday and moved up to ninth place. Klagenfurt won 5:0 in Linz in September and are now aiming to end their run of three consecutive home defeats.

Vienna - Salzburg
After winning the Champions Hockey League round of 16 first leg at Pelicans Lahti, seventh-placed EC Red Bull Salzburg return to league action at Vienna. The spusu Vienna Capitals set an exclamation mark with yesterday's 3:1 away win at Hydro Fehérvár AV19, who were still leading the win2day ICE Hockey League at the time. Salzburg celebrated a shutout (3:0) in the first meeting of the season.

Vienna - Pioneers
Less than 24 hours after the game against Salzburg, Vienna will face the Pioneers Vorarlberg, who will conclude their road trip at the STEFFL Arena. The game kicks off at 5:00 p.m. and is being organised to mark Kids Day. The first game of the season was a clear 5:1 win for the team from Feldkirch.

Pustertal - Graz
The second Saturday game takes place at the Intercable Arena in Bruneck, where Pustertal hosts the 99ers for the first clash of the season. The South Tyroleans have won all six home games against Graz so far, celebrating four shutouts.
