Rittner Buam have presented Italian Thomas Tragust as their new goalie. Plus: Important contract extensions in Bruneck and Feldkirch.

The Italian Nationalteam players Armin Helfer and Armin Hofer will continue to play for HC Pustertal Wolves in the upcoming season as well. Each defenseman has been a keyplayer in Bruneck during the last seasons: Helfer has scored 30 points (11G/19A) out of 48 Alps Hockey League-games for the "Wolves" past season. Hofer even had most points by a defenseman, he achieved 48 points (10G/38A) out of 47 games.
 
Goalie Thomas Tragust went from Bruneck to the Rittner Buam! The 31-year old Italian has been a key-player for HC Pustertal „Wolves“ during the last two years, he had a strong save% of 91,7 and a GAA of 2,14 out of 42 games 2017/18. Tragust has spent most time of his career in Italy so far, he has already guarded the net for Meran, Fassa, Sterzing, Eppan, Neumarkt, Bruneck and once for Ritten in the 2013/14-season earning a Shut Out. Besides, Tragust has experience from playing overseas (Texas Tornado), in Austria (Innsbruck) and in Germany (Kaufbeuren) as well. Goalie Patrick Killeen and defenseman Christian Borgatello leave Ritten.
 
Three key-players stay in Feldkirch
The FBI VEU Feldkirch has extended the contracts with the key-players Steven Birnstill (USA), Dylan Stanley (CAN) and Sven Grasböck (AUT). Forward Stanley and defenseman Birnstill have been the best scorers of their team 2017/18: Stanley had 73 points (25G/43A, Plus-Minus: +11) out of 44 Alps Hockey League games and Birnstill had 43 points (8G/35A, Plus-Minus: +5) out of 46 matches. Besides, Austrian Sven Grasböck will be a big support in Feldkirchs‘ defense next season as well: The 23-year old Austrian has scored six points (2G/4A) out of 43 matches past season and he had the second best Plus-Minus-statistics of his team (+11).
