Lukas Kainz returns to Graz after two years in Vienna. The 28-year-old previously played four campaigns for the Graz99ers and scored ten goals and 15 assists in the 2021/2022 season among others.

Lukas Kainz: "I've always loved playing in Graz and have certainly experienced some highs and lows here. But during the highs, you realize how cool it is to play in front of these fans in a full ‘bunker’. When the people in charge approached me and presented the plan and vision to me, I knew that it could be a great opportunity for me. The goal will certainly be to play for the championship. But it won't be easy. We have a new team, with lots of new faces, where everything has to come together first. But I'm sure we can do it and we can all pull together."

Kernberger starts in fourth season
Michael Kernberger will continue to play for the 99ers next season. It will be the defenseman's fourth season in the Styrian capital. "Michael Kernberger has an excellent character and is a warrior who also has the physical component," says sports director Philipp Pinter.
