WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan announced with Gianluca Vallini and Dominik Steinmann their goalies for 2017/18. HC Gherdeina valgardena.it extended the contract with Center Ivan Demetz and EK Zeller Eisbären signed Austrian Forward Alexander Feichtner. Besides HC Pustertal „Wolves“ can build also 2017/18 on the experienced players Armin Hofer and Patrick Bona.

Broncos trust in Italian goalies
WSV Sterzing Broncos Weihenstephan will start with the Italian goalies Gianluca Vallini and Dominik Steinmann in the up-coming SKY Alps Hockey League season. Vallini switches from League-opponent HC Gherdeina valgardena.it to the Broncos. 2016/17 the 23-years old National Team goalie made 31 games for Gherdeina and reached a save% of 90,0 and a GAA of 3.21. Besides the club extended the contract with Dominik Steinmann, who spend so far nearly his complete career with the team. Past season the 27-years old goalie played eight games for the Broncos and received a save% of 86,5 and a GAA of 4,05.

With Italian Center Ivan Demetz a key-player stays another year at HC Gherdeina valgardena.it! The 29 years old Italian was past season with 40 points (9G/31A) from 38 SKY Alps Hockey League-games the second best scorer in the team.
 
Austrian National Team player for Polar Bears
Big signing for EK Zeller Eisbären! Alexander Feichtner, who played between 2007 and 2017 totally 339 Erste Bank Eshockey Liga-games for EC Red Bull Salzburg (Champion 2008, 2010, 2011), Dornbirner EC and Moser Medical Graz99ers, in which he scored 89 points (39G/50A), joins the Polar Bears! Last season the Forward also made one game for the Austrian National Team. Besides the 28 years old Center was already Inter National League Champion with EC Bregenzerwald 2013.
 
Much experience stays at Bruneck
With Armin Hofer and Patrick Bona (both ITA) much experience stays at HC Pustertal „Wolves“. 30 years old Hofer spend so far his whole career with the "Wolves" and was 2016/17 with 41 points (8G/33A, Plus-Minus: +22!) from 43 games the best defenseman in the club. Armin Hofer also played this year for Team Italy at the World Championships at Köln. Much experience brings also Forward Patrick Bona into the team. The 36 years old Italian was past season with 37 points (15G/22A, Plus-Minus: +22!) from 38 SKY Alps Hockey League-games one of the key-players in the team.
