Following his junior career and time at Lake Superior State University, Diego Cuglietta made his professional debut with the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League during the 2018/19 season. In the years that followed, he played in both the AHL and ECHL. In 2022, he moved to Italy—the homeland of his ancestors—gaining domestic player status. In his first two seasons with Cortina in the Alps Hockey League, highlighted by the Italian championship title in 2022 and the Supercup win in 2023, he confirmed his scoring ability and became the 2023 playoff top scorer. Over the following two seasons with Ritten, he maintained his strong and consistent production (110 points in 80 games). The 30-year-old center also impressed on the European stage, recording 12 points in 9 games in recent IIHF Continental Cup campaigns. In the 2024/25 season, he also made his debut for the Italian national team, registering 3 points in 3 appearances.

New goalie for Bolzano
HCB Südtirol Alperia has signed 23-year-old Canadian goaltender Marco Costantini. The netminder, who has Italian roots, already brings experience from the win2day ICE Hockey League, where he appeared in five games for Asiago. Costantini most recently served as the starting goalie for the Allen Americans (ECHL), posting a .917 save percentage. In Bolzano, he is expected to serve as a reliable backup with strong development potential.

Marco Costantini: “It will be my first full year overseas, and I feel honored to have the opportunity to play in Bolzano. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the organization and the fans.”

Two extensions in Brunico
HC Falkensteiner Pustertal has announced contract extensions for two forwards. The 30-year-old Matthias Mantinger once again proved his value as a leader last season, recording 12 points in the playoffs. The 28-year-old Ivan Deluca will also remain with the team. The forward brings extensive experience, including more than 400 league games and over 150 international appearances.
