"I have felt in the last few months that my career cannot be over yet. I want to help the spusu Vienna Capitals with my experience and together with our fans make the Erste Bank Arena shake again. The Caps are a matter of the heart for me," said Fischer about his surprise comeback. Fischer currently has 538 league appearances for the spusu Vienna Capitals - the third most in the club's history. Pitschieler stays in Bolzano
After his positive debut season, HCB Südtirol Alperia also re-signed young forward Simon Pitschieler to a contract. In his first year in the white-red jersey, the 23-year-old from Val Gardena fully convinced with his fighting spirit and commitment. In his first season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, he recorded two goals and two assists each: he scored his first goal on 28 December 2020 in the derby against Innsbruck at the TIWAG Arena. Vienna signed Caron from Villach
The spusu Vienna Capitals signed Canadian forward Jordan Caron. The 30-years-old was under contract with the EC GRAND Immo VSV last season. In 42 games, the left-shooter scored 30 points (11G / 19A). In addition, Caron has already made 166 appearances in the NHL, for the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche and St. Louis Blues (29 points).

"The decision to move to Vienna was very easy for me. I have heard only good things about the city and the organization of the Vienna Capitals. Vienna is fantastic and the Caps offer a great setup. I could convince myself of that last season," said the Canadian.

Swede Nilsson signs with Fehérvár
The 30-years-old defender Henrik Nilsson will play for Hydro Fehérvár AV19 in the upcoming season. Last season, the Swede was under contract with league rival Dornbirn Bulldogs (54 games - 27 points). Before that, the right-shooter spent several years in the SHL.

"I wanted to sign with one of the top teams in the league, so I was very excited about this opportunity," said the 190-centimeter and 91-kilogram defender. "I had a good conversation with János Hári (player of Fehérvár), who had a lot of good things to say about the team and the city, so the decision was easy for me," added the Swedish newcomer.

Squad of the Black Wings Linz complete
The Steinbach Black Wings Linz announced their last new signing for the upcoming season. The Kazakh Dustin Boyd strengthens the Upper Austrians. The forward, who also has the Canadian citizenship, was clubless last season due to Covid-19. Before that the 35-years-old played for Barys Nur-Sultan in the KHL.
