There has been plenty of activity on the transfer market in the win2day ICE Hockey League. On Tuesday, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV announced the signing of Joseph Cramarossa. The Canadian thus returns to the league, having already played for the Vienna Capitals in the 2024/25 season. EC-KAC also confirmed the contract extension of Nick Petersen, who is set to enter his ninth season with the KAC. In recent days, the Klagenfurt-based club has also extended contracts with five additional players. Meanwhile, Steinbach Black Wings Linz, HC TIWAG Innsbruck, EC Red Bull Salzburg, Olimpija Ljubljana, and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 have also been active on the transfer market recently.

Joseph Cramarossa joins Villach from the Augsburger Panther of the DEL. In Germany, the 33-year-old recorded 20 points in 40 games. He previously played in Austria as well, putting up 23 points in 35 games for the Vienna Capitals during the 2024/25 season. The forward has also appeared in 68 NHL games and 427 AHL games.

VSV has also announced the contract extension of goaltender René Swette. The 37-year-old will enter his fourth season in Villach.

Petersen and five more players extend in Klagenfurt
Nick Petersen will continue to hunt for goals with EC-KAC next season. It will be his ninth season with the club—no import player has ever stayed that long in Carinthia’s capital.

However, he is not the only player to extend his contract. Simeon Schwinger, Sebastian Dahm, Clemens Unterweger, Raphael Herburger, and Finn van Ee will also remain with the Klagenfurt side for the upcoming season.

Forward Trenton Bliss joins Linz
For American forward Trenton Bliss, Steinbach Black Wings Linz marks his second stop in Europe following a successful debut season in Norway. Last season, he played for the Stavanger Oilers in Norway’s top league. The left-shot forward recorded 33 points (13 goals) after the regular season, playing a key role in the team’s fourth-place finish. Initially deployed as a third-line center contributing to secondary scoring, he also impressed on the wing in a top-six role during the playoffs. With four goals and three assists, he ranked third in team scoring in the postseason, although he could not prevent elimination in the semifinals against eventual champion Storhamar.

Innsbruck signs Canadian Brett Davis
Canadian forward Brett Davis is considered a classic two-way player, contributing both offensively and defensively. The 26-year-old was drafted by the Dallas Stars in 2017 and spent the following years in the Western Hockey League, the ECHL, and also appeared in 28 AHL games. Most recently, he played for the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL, recording 48 points in 68 games.

Three more extensions in Salzburg
The roster of EC Red Bull Salzburg continues to take shape for the upcoming season. Benjamin Nissner, Florian Baltram, and Luca Auer will remain with the team, while Lucas Thaler is set to leave Salzburg for Munich.

Olimpija Ljubljana retains key players and adds two signings
Olimpija Ljubljana will continue to rely on regular season MVP T.J. Brennan, who recorded the second-most points among all defensemen last season. Nicolai Meyer, the league’s second-leading scorer, will also stay with the Slovenian club, as will Zach Boychuk.

Additionally, Ljubljana brings back two Slovenian players, Žiga Jeglič and Jan Urbas. Both join from DEL side Fischtown Pinguins and already have experience in the ICE Hockey League.

Two extensions in Fehérvár
Semifinalist Hydro Fehérvár AV19 has extended the contracts of forward Rasmus Kulmala and defenseman Tim Campbell for another season.

This overview includes all transfers and contract extensions from April 11 to April 28. Transfer activities prior to April 11 can be found here.
