win2day ICE Hockey League, Schedule:

20.11.2022 15:00, HC Pustertal - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: SCHAUER, SMETANA, Riecken, Rigoni | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

The spusu Vienna Capitals are guests in South Tyrol for the second time within 20 hours. After the game against league leader Bolzano on Saturdayevening, the Viennese duel with HC Pustertal. The Caps have excellent memories of the last game against the Wolves. Almost exactly a month ago, the Caps celebrated a 9:1 success in Bruneck. At that time, however, neo-coach Phil Horsky took over the Wolves just fresh and led Pustertal into the encounter as head coach for the first time. Since then, HCP has more than caught on and subsequently recorded the one or other landslide victory themselves. Especially against the Viennese, Horsky's desire for revenge will be particularly strong, as he spent many years in various positions with the Caps. The Wolves have an extra day to prepare for this game - they last suffered a clear defeat against EC-KAC on Friday. It was already the second defeat of the Wolves in a row - in their last game before the International Break they had to admit defeat to Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. After Pustertal managed to enter the Top-10 in the meantime, the Wolves are now back on rank eleven. The Caps also had to admit defeat in their first game after the International Break. They lost against Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 on Tuesday and slipped back to eighth place in the table as a result.

20.11.2022 16:00, Moser Medical Graz99ers - EC Red Bull Salzburg
Referees: HRONSKY, OFNER, Bedynek, Jedlicka | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

The Moser Medical Graz99ers started back into league action with two losses after the break. In total, the Styrians could not get any points for three games - in the past five encounters, the points account grew by only three points. So the reigning champions of the win2day ICE Hockey League come rather inconveniently on Sunday. EC Red Bull Salzburg started the week with an impressive eighth-final victory in the Champions Hockey League and followed it up with a 6:1 win over BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg in the league. After the International Break, it was mainly the Austrians of the Red Bulls who have been able to show up so far. In Friday's emphatic win over the newcomers from Vorarlberg, five of the six goals came from Austrians. With three games less played (as of Saturday afternoon), the Salzburgers are just three points behind league leader Bolzano. The Styrians are currently in tenth place - but the margin over HC Pustertal is only two points. With another defeat, the 99ers could already fall out of the pre-playoff ranks. While Ty Loney and Troy Bourke are still out for the Salzburgers, Lucas Thaler is about to make his comeback.

20.11.2022 16:30, EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV - Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Referees: NIKOLIC M., NIKOLIC K., Bärnthaler, Zgonc | >>LIVE on PULS 24 and in Free-Stream

The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV got off to a perfect start after the International Break. Within four days, two top-3 teams were defeated. First the Eagles managed a commanding success against the league leader from Bolzano, before they stopped the winning run of HC TIWAG Innsbruck. Against the Steinbach Black Wings Linz, Villach now aim for their fourth win in a row - and thus their longest series this season. But the Upper Austrians are a tough opponent. Although the Black Wings had to admit defeat for the second time against Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 on Friday, they are still ahead of Villach in the standings. However, VSV could change that on Sunday. With a win after regular time they would leave the Black Wings behind. The first meeting in the current season the Linzers still decided narrowly with 2:1 for themselves. In this duel, one of the strongest offensive teams meets one of the strongest defensive teams. Especially since the signing of Anthony Luciani, the VSV offense is almost unstoppable. In the last three games alone, 16 goals were scored. Luciani provided six goals and four assists in his nine games. But Linz's defense has been more than compact this season. With only 2.4 goals conceded per game, head coach Philipp Lukas' team has the second-best defense in the league - behind EC Red Bull Salzburg. VSV head coach Rob Daum will still have to do without the long-term injured Julian Payr, Maximilian Rebernig and Elias Wallenta against Linz. The top match of the round will be broadcast live on PULS 24.

20.11.2022 17:30, Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 - EC-KAC
Referees: GROZNIK, TRILAR, Kis-Kiraly, Vaczi >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

Hydro Fehérvár AV 19 vs EC-KAC is a match between two teams that won both games after the break. Klagenfurt even set a three-game winning streak and thus equalized their longest winning streak this season. For the first time in the current season, the KAC was able to capture the maximum points in three consecutive games, with a remarkable score of 13:5. Fehérvár, on the other hand, celebrated two narrow victories - prevailed against the spusu Vienna Capitals and the Steinbach Black Wings Linz, each with a one-goal difference. In seven of the last eight games, the Devils were able to improve their points tally. In the standings, the Klagenfurt team has already left the Hungarians behind. Currently, there is only one point between the teams, but the KAC and Fehérvár are currently separated by the "red line" with the sixth and seventh places. In the first season duel of these two teams, the KAC fought their way to an overtime victory. The KAC came back into the match after trailing 0:2. Paul Postma was responsible for the decision after only 35 seconds in overtime. For the KAC, Thomas Koch - in addition to Jesper Jensen Aabo, Johannes Bischofberger and Daniel Oberteiner - is at risk of a longer absence.
