Charles Dodero (#92) of Moser Medical Graz99ers time 43:46, was involved in an incident deemed as Interference (IIHF Rule 149). The video evidence was sent to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, which determined the incident to be worthy of supplementary discipline - Category 1 - 'Careless'.

According to the Arbitrator and having considered the video evidence and ruling of the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League PSC, Charles Dodero (#92) of Moser Medical Graz99ers will receive supplementary discipline under IIHF rule 149 – Interference.

On January 31st in Graz, an incident occurred involving Graz player #92 Charles Dodero and Bozen player #46 Ivan Deluca, which is deemed Interference. A 2 minute minor penalty was assessed by the on-ice officials. As the video shows, #46 Deluca exits his defensive zone and enters the neutral zone with puck possession.
Before the centerline, Graz player #59 Myllari knocks the puck off Deluca's stick, which is where it deemed a loose puck. With Graz player #67 Sointu skating beside Deluca, the puck battle ensues between Deluca and Sointu, with Sointu winning the puck battle and gaining puck possession. This means, Deluca lost puck possession well before the center line and never had puck possession, leaving Deluca ineligible to be checked. The reason for supplementary discipline, is the body check #92 Dodero delivered is deemed illegal under Interference. PSC considered a multitude of actions to determine the body check is worthy of supplementary discipline. It started with Dodero coming onto the ice directly from the players bench to create a skating lane directly at Deluca. By entering from the players bench in a straight line to Deluca, it can be deemed Deluca is unaware of Dodero. Additionally, Deluca is in pursuit of the puck with his sight line and awareness on Sointu, not Dodero. Instead of letting up or creating a lane to alter Deluca from the puck, Dodero realized an opportunity to deliver a forceful, predatory type body check, which can be seen by his wind-up body motion and sight line directly on Deluca with no regard for the puck. The body check is deemed unsuspecting, overly forceful and dangerous on a player not in possession of the puck.

Effective immediately, Charles Dodero (#92) of Moser Medical Graz99ers is suspended for 2 games and fined
500.00 Euros.
