Sunday night in Dornbirn, an incident occurred involving HC Orli Znojmo #70 Parker Bowles on Dornbirn Bulldogs #71 Kevin Macierzynski, deemed as slashing.

As the video shows, the puck is deep in the Dornbirn D'Zone.Behind the play and in the process of a line change occurring, Parker Bowles and Kevin Macierzynski bump into each other. The bump is considered non-aggressive and no probable cause for Bowles to use his stick in a retaliatory manner. This is deemed slashing.

Macierzynski, immediately before the bump, began to turn and either tried to avoid or certainly minimize any form of contact with Bowles. Bowles, in an effortto go to the Znojmo players box does skate into the lane of Macierzynski. Immediately after the bump, Bowles winds up with a baseball like swing, contacting Macierzynski in the upper part of the leg. The force, combined with the distance of the stick swing, is deemed recklessly endangering. The contact point was above the knee in the back pant area, which is why there was no apparent injury. However, the use of the stick for the means of retaliationin a forceful and unsuspecting manner is not legal and does run a high probability of injury.

Effectiveimmediately, Parker Bowles (#70) of HC Orli Znojmo is suspended for 2 games and fined 500.00 Euros.
