Two new teams at top

Jesenice's eleven-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday when Pustertal earned a 4:2 road win. Despite the Slovenes taking an early lead, HCP turned the game around in the first period. The visitors kept their one-goal lead in the second with both scoring once - 2:3 after 40 minutes. Tommaso Traversa made the game safe with his second of the night in the final minute. Now the wolves are the only unbeaten team in Master Round as Rittner Buam suffered a 5:4 defeat to Cortina. Despite trailing, the first AHL champion had a 3:1 lead after 36 minutes. Cortina bounced back with four unanswered goals to get their third home win in a row. In a game of the last two champions Asiago earned their first Master Round win when beating Olimpija 4:2 at home. With scoring once and having two assists, Marco Rosa celebrated a three-point game.

Salzburg extends lead to four points
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors beat Sterzing to extend their lead in Qualification Round A. The Austrians had a 2:0 lead after the first but the Broncos tied it at two in the second. Samuel Witting led the hosts to winning ways in the third with Robert Arrak celebarting a brace for a final 5:2 score. Now they have a four-point advantage to second-placed Lustenau who suffered a shutout defeat in Vienna. The Sivler Capitals new arrival Henrik Persson scored the only goal of the game after nine minutes with goalie Max Zimmermann saving all 42 shots on his goal. On Sunday EC-KAC II hosts Gherdeina.

Feldkirch turns top game to their favour
Things were very tense in the top game of Qualification Round B between Fassa and Feldkirch. The game was a mere 96 seconds when Mizza opened the scoring and Fassa captain Castlugner even added a second. Feldkirch came out hard for the second period and they turned the game with three unanswered goals to their favour. Despite Mizzi scoring a third-period equalizer, the visitors took all three points thanks to Robin Soudek's second of the night. In addition, EK Zeller Eisbären kept their hopes for the remaining playoff spot alive. The Salzburg side beat Kitzbühel 3:2 with Jure Sotlar, who is the Intermediate Round top scorer at the moment, scoring the game winner. In the third game EC Bregenzerwald got the first win. Christian Haidinger and Johan Lorraine each scored a brace in a 5:2 victory at bottom-club Linz.
