Two-time Calder Cup champion signs at Salzburg

The EC Red Bull Salzburg has strengthened its roster for the upcoming season in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League with Vincent LoVerde. For the two-time Calder Cup winner, it is the first signing in Europe. Further, the spusu Vienna Capitals have announced the contract extension of Sascha Bauer and parted ways with Taylor Vause.

The 32-year-old US American brings experience from 595 AHL games (53G|146A), as he played for four different teams since 2012. Last season, the defender was captain of the Hartford Wolf Pack.

"I am honored to be able to be a part of EC Red Bull Salzburg. I've heard great things about the organization and the city. For me, it is very important to play for a solidified organization. I'm looking forward to this new challenge and want to help bring a title to Salzburg," said Vincent LoVerde, who won the Calder Cup - the championship in the AHL - twice in his career. In 2014-15, he led the Manchester Monarchs to the title. In 2017-18, he was an assistant captain in the Toronto Marlies' championship win.

Bauer remains at Vienna
The spusu Vienna Capitals have agreed to continue their cooperation with offensive player Sascha Bauer. The 26-year-old recorded his best season in terms of points in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League season 2020-21. Taylor Vause, on the other hand, did not receive a new contract offer and will leave the club after five seasons.
