Unterland secures Pre-Playoff spot | Meran wins crucial direct duel in the fight for Post-Season

Just two days after the loss in the top match against the table leader Ritten, S.G. Cortina Hafro achieved a commanding 4:1 victory against EK Die Zeller Eisbären. For the Eisbären, this was, following a clear 0:5 defeat, already the second loss to Cortina. While the team from Northern Italy continues on its path to securing the "second pick," Zell will be fighting for fourth to sixth place in the last round.

The Red Bull Hockey Juniors secured a 4:2 win against the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan on Thursday evening, setting the stage for a showdown for second place against Cortina in the final round. Currently, they are two points behind. The Broncos, on the other hand, will finish the Master Round in either fourth or fifth place.

Ritten Turns the Game Around Against Bregenzerwald
Just two days ago, the Rittner Buam secured first place in the intermediary round. On Thursday evening, the table leader managed to turn the game around against EC Bregenzerwald. The guests from Vorarlberg got off to a much better start, leading 2:0 after just about eight minutes. However, the Buam turned the match around, eventually securing a 4:3 victory. For the Wälder, this was the sixth loss in the ninth game of the Master Round.

Unterland Secures Pre-Playoff Ticket
Following a 3:1 victory against the SHC Fassa Falcons, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers secured their pre-playoff ticket. After a scoreless first period, the guests took the lead in the 23rd minute and maintained it until the end. Thus, the Cavaliers, behind EC Die Adler Kitzbühel, have definitively secured second place.

Kitzbühel Ends Intermediary Round with a Win
EC Die Adler Kitzbühel celebrated an untroubled shutout victory against EHC Lustenau in their last game of the intermediary round. For the Adler, having decided the Qualification Round B in their favor, this was already the fourth consecutive win. After the defeat, Lustenau no longer has a chance for the pre-playoffs and must end its season on Saturday.

Meran/o Wins Crucial Duel for the Pre-Playoffs
HC Meran/o Pircher won the crucial direct duel against HDD Jesenice. A loss would have left the South Tyroleans without any chance for the post-season. However, with a 4:0 victory, Meran managed to overtake Jesenice in the standings, thus forcing a distance duel for the last pre-playoff spot in Qualification Round A.

Gherdeina Wins Qualification Round A
HC Gherdeina secured the win in Qualification Round A in the penultimate round with a 4:0 victory over HK Celje. For Gröden, this was already the fifth consecutive win in the intermediary round. The pre-playoff opponent for Gherdeina has thus also been determined: they will face the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers.
