On Saturday, Val Gardean celebrated a 4–3 overtime road win in Zell am See – with the equalizer for 3–3 coming just 70 seconds before the end of the third period – marking the South Tyroleans’ first away win of the series. This means “La Furie” will have its first chance on Tuesday, in front of a home crowd, to clinch a historic first finals berth. They have won their previous home games in the series 5–0 and 2–1.

Sisak also holds a 3–2 lead in its semifinal series and needs just one more win to reach the final for the first time, in only its second season in the league. Unlike the other series, however, Merano can force a decisive game on home ice. On Saturday, Sisak edged a narrow 4–3 overtime win at home, having trailed 2–3 until 52 seconds before the end of regulation. In Meran, Sisak won the first game 4–1, followed by a 2–3 overtime loss.
