Vienna and Zagreb strenghten offense

The Vienna Capitals and the KHL Medvescak Zagreb have been active on transfermarket one more time, to be prepared for the Crunch-Time of this season. The Capitals signed the 29-years old center Brandon Buck from the Swiss national league A. Zagreb secured the assignment of Anton Ranov on loan. Ranov has the Croatian passport and spent his whole career in Switzerland.

Brandon Buck is already well known in Erste Bank Eishockey Liga, as he already booked a remarkable season for the KHL Medvescak Zagreb back in 2012/13. In 58 games he scored 58 points (25 goals, 33 Assists) for the Croatians. After that he he had contracts in Switzerland, American Hockey League and DEL. For the ERC Ingolstadt he scored in three season / 183 games 186 games and leaded the scoring for his team. “I’m already absolutely looking forward to the new Challenge with the Caps. The expectations for this season are high and I aim to contribute to a successful post-season. I followed the great successes of the team so far. My strengths are clearly in offense, but still I’m a reliable on both ends of the ice,” is the new forward already looking forward. 

The KHL Medvescak Zagreb signed Anton Ranov on loan from EHC Wintherthur till end of the season. Ranov was topscorer of his past team and aims to deliver for Zagreb as well. “He will give further energy to our team. He will come to the team on the 19th of February and can adapt to our game during the intermediate round,” stated the sports director of Zagreb, Aaron Fox.
 
The 23-years old Anton Ranov is a left winger and spent his whole career in Switzerland. Hes scored 53 points (27 goals and 26 Assists) in 166 games in the swiss-NLB. Ranov has an Croatian passport, as he has Croatian roots.
