Capitals leads standings
The spusu Vienna Capitals have put an end to the winning streak of the HCB Südtirol Alperia and pushed the "foxes" from the top of the table in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The 3-2 home win was Vienna's fifth win in a row. With three more games to play, the Capitals are only three points ahead of the second-placed Bolzano side, which have been defeated for the first time since the re-start and seven wins in a row. Brett Findlay had turned a Viennese lead in the meantime with a brace (26. and 30.) - his first two goals this season. But the "Caps" countered with a brilliant finish: Taylor Vause (55.) skillfully slammed the puck from the blue line under the crossbar. Two minutes left Colin Campbell, league’s top scorer, secured the victory for Vienna.

The eighth win of the season for the Vorarlberg side, which took the lead with a one-timer from William Rapuzzi (19./PP1), was fastend with a strong first half of the middle frame. Adam Lapsansky (37.) scored the consolidation goal for the Slovaks, which will also be competing in Dornbirn tomorrow, Sunday, and have relinquished their home rights in today's game. It was Bratislava's first defeat in the fourth game under interim coach Dusan Pasek. From Monday, the ICE newcomer will be coached by Peter Draisaitl.
