Vienna’s second win within 24 hours
The spusu Vienna Capitals have won their second home game in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League within 24 hours too. After the shootout success over Graz, the Caps recorded a 5:4 victory over HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie, Caps' eighth victory over the Tyroleans in a row. Thus Vienna drew level with leader Bozen in the table, sitting second with 31 points. With a precise one-timer, Marco Richter (19./PP1) sent the home team into the first break with a deserved 3:1 lead. Then the guests trumped up, equalized in the middle frame - and turned the game around with a goal of Jonathan Racine-Clarke (49.PP1). But the Viennese bounced back: Thanks to a scored rebound from Fabio Artner (55.) and a goal from Julian Großlercher (56.), the Caps turned the game back in their favor and confirmed their 6:1 victory from the first duel of the season in October.

Villach keeps momentum
EC GRAND Immo VSV took the momentum from the derby victory and celebrated its second away win this season after the 3:2 victory in Linz on October 4th. The "Eagles" won 2:1 at Hydro Fehérvár AV19 and took revenge for their defeat in their first match of the season. It was the fourth defeat in a row for the decimated Hungarians. Villach improved to ninth place with his sixth win of the season. Over 60 minutes of play the two teams neutralized each other on equal strength - all three goals were scored on powerplay: Jordan Caron (16./PP1) converted a rebound, Daniel Szabo (36./PP1) then hammered a blueliner. The decision was made five minutes before the end by Chris Collins, who converted a nice pass of Scott Kosmachuk in the slot.
