EC GRAND Immo VSV, which has lost the past two games, got off to a cold start against Steinbach Black Wings Linz, as Kantola (8./PP1) and Kristler (10./PP1) took advantage of the first two powerplay occasions and Gaffal made it 3-0 already in the 11th minute. Then Villach increasingly took command with the 1-3 by Rick Schofield (14.), as he scored his first goal in the second game after almost four months of injury break. Linz got two more but then Villach started to catch up and make a final turnaround with five unanswered, two of them on the power play. Travis Oleksuk and Scott Kosmachuk each collected a brace in Villach's first win after COVID break.

Znojmo remains hot on home ice
HC Tesla Orli Znojmo also won its second home game against vice-champion HCB Südtirol Alperia, winning 5-2 after a high-scoring final period and celebrating its eighth victory out of the last ten home games. Pavel Kantor gave the Czechs a strong net minding, Alexander Younan (27.) about midway through the game the lead. Filip Ahl (46.) doubled up with a hard-hitting wristshot from the high slot. Then Bozen became more dangerous, equalized the game through Gazley (49.) and Catenacci (51./PP1) within two and a half minutes. But Znojmo still had quite a bit left in the tank, pulled back with three goals in the last six minutes of the game and earned a deserved victory. David Stransky's (55.) first ICE goal was finally the game-winner for the Czechs.

Dornbirn and Székesfehérvár cheer home win after shootout
The Dornbirn Bulldogs and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 fixed their home wins in the shootout. The team from Vorarlberg - before the game they announced to part ways with Canadian defenseman Nick Ross - surprised with a 3-2 win over leader EC Red Bull Salzburg. Colton Beck was the key player in the efficient game of the twelfth-placed team, as he scored two goals in the final period to turn around an interim deficit and finally hit the decisive goal in the penalty shootout.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 consolidated their second place in the table with a 2-1 win over EC-KAC after penalty shootout, winning their third home game in a row. The duel was characterized by strong goalie performances, especially Klagenfurt's Val Usnik (96.2%) gave a fabulous ICE debut. After goals by Kuralt (41./PP1) and Ticar (44.) Istvan Bartalis was the lone successful shooter in the shootout and won the game for the Hungarians.
