The Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan defeated the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel with 4:2 in the Qualification Round A rearranged match. Until 72 seconds before the end of the match, the game was still tied, before the home side ensured the decision with a brace. In addition, the national champions in Austria and Italy were determined on Saturday evening. The EC Bregenzerwald was crowned Austrian AHL champion for the first time. The team won the second leg of the final against Lustenau with 3:2. The ECB won the first leg with 2:1. In the Serie A, Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey claimed their third consecutive Scudetto thanks to a narrow 2:1 home win over Ritten.

Broncos win rearranged match against Kitzbühel
In a contested Qualification Round A game, the Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan prevailed against the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel with 4:2. Until 72 seconds before the end of the game, the game was even before Bryson Cianfrone scored the game-winner in favor of the home side. Only 20 seconds later, Niklas Salo scored an empty-net goal for the final decision. In the meantime, the guests from Kitzbühel were even in the lead with 1:0 and 2:1. The Broncos moved up to second place in the standings. Kitzbühel is fourth in the table.

Bregenzerwald and Asiago national champions
The EC Bregenzerwald and Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey crowned themselves national AHL champions. Bregenzerwald beat the EHC Lustenau with 3:2 in the second leg of the final. In the first leg, the ECB kept the upper hand with 2:1. For Bregenzerwald it was the first win of the Austrian AHL championship.

In Italy, the Serie A champion was determined in a final tournament. On Saturday, it came to the big final match between table leader Rittner Buam and first pursuer Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey. The hosts from Asiago took a 2:1 home win in a contested game and thus already their third Scudetto in a row. With seven points, they ended up just one point ahead of Ritten. Val Gardena and Cortina followed in third and fourth place.
