The following players are nominated for September:

Lorenz Klingler (2006) – HC TIWAG Innsbruck
Die Haie Lorenz Klingler had his big moment on the final game day of the month. In Innsbruck’s 5-4 home win over the Pioneers Vorarlberg, the 19-year-old forward from Hall in Tirol set up the goals for 2-0 and 3-2. They were the first points of his career in the win2day ICE Hockey League.

Tommaso Madaschi (2005) – Milano Hockey Club
Tommaso Madaschi is part of a dream start: the league newcomers won five of six games in September, all on the road, and finished the month in second place, level on points with EC-KAC. The 21-year-old forward from Turin scored the 5-1 goal in the 5-4 win at the Pioneers Vorarlberg. It proved decisive, as the hosts battled back to 4-5. Madaschi also carries a plus-minus rating of +4.

Nicolo Remolato (2005) – HCB Südtirol Alperia
Nicolo Remolato could hardly have asked for a better debut. In the season opener against the Vienna Capitals, the Bolzano native scored two of his team’s three goals, including the 3-2 just over three minutes from time. Two days later, the 21-year-old also found the net in the 6-3 win over EC Red Bull Salzburg. With three goals, the newcomer from Cortina is the leading goal scorer among all players born in 2005 or later.

David Waschnig (2007) – EC-KAC
With five points in six games, David Waschnig leads his age group in scoring. His best performance came in the 364th Carinthian Derby: in the 6-1 win over EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, the 19-year-old from Klagenfurt set up the 1-0, scored the 2-0 himself and also assisted on the 6-1. He had already scored on opening night in the 7-1 win in Salzburg. At +6, the winger has the best plus-minus rating of all nominees.

VOTE NOW <<

How the vote works First, six monthly winners are determined. Four players are nominated each month. The six monthly winners then compete at the start of the playoffs in the season vote for the title “Young Star of the Season 2026/27”.

The vote has two components: in addition to the fan vote on the league website, TV experts from Austria, Italy and Slovenia cast their votes. If two or more players receive the same number of votes, the fan vote decides the ranking.
