The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV, still in third place, outclassed the Moser Medical Graz99ers on the road, as the 8:1 victory was Villach's highest triumph in Graz since the league was founded in the summer of 2000. Somewhat fortunately and contrary to the course of the game, the "Adler" gained a two-goal lead in the first period. Anthony Luciani doubled the lead right after the restart and within 23 seconds. Graz was unsettled from then on and had to concede four more goals in the further course of the game. Luciani is now Villach's top scorer in the current championship with 14 goals. Dominik Grafenthin also scored a brace against his former club. For the Styrians it was the fourth defeat in a row, the consolation goal was scored by Daniel Woger (51st), averting a third consecutive game without a goal.

It was the seventh defeat in a row for HK SZ Olimpija. Last year's quarter-finalist lost at home to EC-KAC with 1-6. For the strong "Rotjacken" Thomas Hundertpfund (11.) opened the scoring. For the veteran it was his 140th goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Supported by a strong Sebastian Dahm (41 saves), Klagenfurt added goal after goal, six different players scored and thus the Austrian record champion also scored in the fifth consecutive game.

Innsbruck with clear home win

HC TIWAG Innsbruck - Die Haie claimed their fourth home win in a row with a 4-1 win over HC Pustertal Wölfe. With this, the Tyroleans extended their lead in the standings to five points. Daniel Leavens (11.) put the "Haie" in the lead after tip-in, defender Jamal Watson (46. and 49.) managed the preliminary decision with his second brace this season. The South Tyroleans missed to climb under the top-10 after their fourth road defeat in a row.

Bolzano comes back after 3-goal deficit
HCB Südtirol Alperia scored a brilliant comeback win at home against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey after overtime, as the league runner-up was already trailing 0-3 against the ICE newcomer midway through the game before Christian Thomas (38.) and Angelo Miceli (45.) cut the deficit. Ryan Culkin (60.) then provided 21 seconds before the end for the overtime and there Brandan McClure turns it around finally after only 13 seconds. Bolzano won for the second time in a row after trailing and its fifth home game in a row.

The spusu Vienna Capitals also celebrated an overtime victory. Max Zimmer (19./PP1) gave the two-time champions the lead in the first period then the game swung back and forth. Graham Knott (57.) equalized three minutes before the end, before Radek Prokes (62.) then secured the extra point for the Viennese in overtime. Both teams also scored in the fourth consecutive game.

Tolvanen grabs second consecutive shutout
Atte Tolvanen posted his second shutout in a row, as past season’s finals MVP stopped all 16 shots on goal in EC Red Bull Salzburg's 2-0 road win over BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg. The fourth-place team in the standings took the lead in the 16th minute through Nicolai Meyer and controlled the action thereafter. The Vorarlberg side thus remained without conceding a goal for the second time in a row.
