The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV will not extend the expiring contract with Head Coach Marcel Rodman, as the parting was made by mutual agreement. The 42-year-old Slovenian had been assistant coach in Villach since 2021 and took over as head coach from Rob Daum on November 30th. In 30 games, he celebrated 14 wins with his team.

"We were satisfied with his work, but unfortunately the success we had hoped for didn't materialize in the playoffs for various reasons. That's why we want to get off to a fresh start with a new head coach in the coming season," explains EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV Managing Director Martin Winkler.

"I really want to thank everyone for allowing me to be a part of the EC VSV organization for the past three years. Villach has become my home and I have always felt at home here. I would like to thank the board members Andreas Schwab and Gerald Rauchenwald as well as team manager Andreas Napokoj and Philipp Pinter for welcoming me. I would like to thank Rob Daum for the two and a half seasons we spent together. I would also like to thank the players. We worked so hard to find the new way, had ups and downs, but in the end we ran out of time. I hoped that we would get the chance to start from scratch. We are all disappointed and I know that I am responsible for the results. That's just the way it is in sport. I would also like to thank all VSV fans. Stay positive and patient with the team. They need your support, you make them better. I wish everyone good luck for the future," says Marcel Rodman.
