EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV – Olimpija Ljubljana
Villach will take on the league’s second-placed team, Olimpija Ljubljana, on Friday evening. The visitors have the chance to move into first place with a victory, but VSV enters the match in great shape, having won three in a row and four of their last five home games. Olimpija dominated the first matchup with a 7-2 win.

Hydro Fehérvár AV19 – Moser Medical Graz99ers
Graz recently introduced Dan Lacroix as their new head coach; until his visa is processed, Philipp Pinter remains at the helm. The third-ranked Graz99ers are looking to extend a four-game winning streak. Fehérvár, currently tenth, is on the rise after two home victories, but Graz won the season’s first meeting resoundingly, 9-4.

EC-KAC – Vienna Capitals
KAC welcomes the Vienna Capitals, who are trying to end a ten-game losing run against Klagenfurt. Since new coach Kevin Constantine took over, the Caps have registered a win and a narrow defeat lately. Vienna sits just three points out of the top 10, while KAC is fourth, having taken points in 12 of their last 13 games. Top scorer Mathias From (20 points) netted the game-winner in their 3-2 away win in the first meeting.

HCB Südtirol Alperia – Pioneers Vorarlberg
Bolzano is eager to bounce back after four losses in five games when they face bottom team Vorarlberg. HCB currently boasts the league’s best defense (43 goals conceded), while the Pioneers have the weakest offense (37 goals in 19 games). The foxes convincingly won the first matchup 6-0.

EC Red Bull Salzburg – Steinbach Black Wings Linz
Following their Champions Hockey League exit, defending champions Salzburg welcome Linz. Benjamin Nissner is set to appear in his 500th league game. Linz, with seven wins in their last eight, trail Salzburg by just four points but haven’t won a game in Salzburg in their last eight visits. Linz took the first season duel at home in overtime.

HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie – FTC-Telekom
After a pointless weekend, Innsbruck aims for redemption at home against FTC-Budapest. The Tyroleans, 12th in the standings, are nine points behind league newcomers Ferencváros, who sit in ninth. Ferencváros, powered by former Innsbruck player Brady Shaw (23 points, third overall), have won two of their last three. They also won the first meeting 6-2.

Pioneers Vorarlberg – FTC-Telekom
On Saturday, the Pioneers and FTC-Budapest meet again—this time in Feldkirch. The hosts will aim to close the gap to the top 10, while the Hungarians won the first encounter 6-0.
