VSV in the Quarterfinals – Fehérvár forces decisive game

The EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV claimed a clear 5:1 road victory. Linz initially took the lead through Luka Maver in the 7th minute, but only a minute and a half later, Joël Teasdale equalized for Villach. Teasdale added another goal in the 49th minute, after Brett Budgell scored in the 34th and Elias Wallenta in the 37th minute. Adam Helewka sealed the 5:1 final score in the 58th minute.

Fehérvár levels series in high-scoring affair
In a high-scoring game marked by many penalties, Hydro Fehérvár AV19 eventually won 7:3, after the Capitals had led 0:1, 1:2, and 2:3 at different points. Following the 3:3 equalizer by Joel Messner in the 40th minute, Fehérvár dominated the final period with four additional goals. Notably, five of Fehérvár’s seven goals came on the special team – four in the powerplay and one shorthanded. No player from the Hungarian side scored more than once.
