The 1.78-meter, 77-kilogram right-shot defenseman developed in the QMJHL, where he suited up for the Victoriaville Tigres and the Cape Breton Eagles, among others. Larochelle then spent four years in the Canadian university league USports, playing a total of 120 games for Concordia University, recording 28 goals and 62 assists during that time.

Following his college career, he gained his first professional experience with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL, where he made three appearances.

VSV General Manager Martin Winkler: “Sean is an extremely fast and versatile player who will immediately add pace and depth to our offense. He has great skill with the puck, works hard in both directions, and perfectly fits the profile we are looking for in our roster: young, hungry players who want to take the next step in Europe and prove themselves at a high level. With players like Nicolas Mattinen and Dylan MacPherson, we’ve already seen in recent years how well this path can work.”
