Fri, 17.11.2023, 19:15: spusu Vienna Capitals - Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey
Referees: GROZNIK, SMETANA, Miklic, Moidl. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
On Wednesday, the spusu Vienna Capitals confirmed Christian Dolezal as head coach until the end of the season. The former Vienna pro took over the head coaching position from Marc Habscheid on an interim basis in October. Since then, the Capitals have won three out of six games. However, last season's semifinalist is still only in twelfth place in the table with 16 points. Opponent Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey is eleventh with 18 points. Both teams are currently four (ASH) and six points (VIC) off the Top-10 and thus the pre-playoff places. The Italians are led by Head Coach Tom Barrasso. The former goaltender and two-time Stanley Cup champion was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame just a few days ago. The visitors from Veneto's major weakness is their poor away performance. They have not won a single one of their nine away games so far. Asiago have been waiting for an away win since January 22. Back then, they won 6:5/OT at the Steffl Arena in Vienna. It was one of three victories for the northern Italians over the Viennese so far. In the first clash of the season, Asiago narrowly prevailed 1:0. The goal was scored by Bryce Misley in the 27th minute.
Fri, 17.11.2023, 19:15: Hydro Fehérvár AV19 - EC-KAC
Referees: HRONSKY, OFNER, Durmis, Jedlicka. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
Second-placed Hydro Fehérvár AV19 play their first game after the International Break against fifth-placed EC-KAC. The team from Klagenfurt clearly won the first duel of the season 7:3. The KAC also prevailed 4:1 in a test match. The Carinthians went into the International Break with a 4:2 derby win at home against the VSV. Fehérvár also won 4:2 at home against Vienna. It was the fifth home win for the Hungarians in their eighth home game. Klagenfurt have only won three of their ten away games so far. With 65 goals scored, AVS has the best offense in the win2day ICE Hockey League. Fehérvár also has the best scoring efficiency of all teams with 11.82%. In comparison, the KAC is in eighth place with 9.38%, but has already scored 61 goals.
Fri, 17.11.2023, 19:15: Steinbach Black Wings Linz - HC Pustertal Wölfe
Referees: FICHTNER, TRILAR, Seewald E., Snoj. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
The HC Pustertal had a perfect start to the season and was even at the top of the table for a while. However, with seven defeats from the last ten games, the South Tyroleans slipped back to the sixth place in the table. The Steinbach Black Wings Linz have had exactly the opposite result so far this season. The Upper Austrians started the campaign with four defeats from their first five games. After that, they conceded just four defeats in 14 games and climbed to the fourth place in the table. In addition to Graham Knott, who is the league´s top pointscorer (27) and goalscorer (15), Brian Lebler has once again impressed in the offense. The 35-year-old is just one goal short of becoming the sole record goalscorer since the league was founded. With 359 goals, Lebler currently shares the top spot with Thomas Koch, who ended his career in the summer. The Black Wings lost the first game of the season against Pustertal 1:4. Rick Schofield, who played in Linz between 2016 and 2020, scored a brace.
Fri, 17.11.2023, 19:15: HC TIWAG Innsbruck - HK SZ Olimpija
Referees: BERNEKER, HLAVATY, Bedynek, Wimmler. | >> live.ice.hockey <<
The HC TIWAG Innsbruck and the HK SZ Olimpija were the only teams in the win2day ICE Hockey League already in action during the week. Innsbruck put up a spirited fight in the Champions Hockey League Round of 16 first leg against Lukko Rauma from Finland, forcing a 2:2 draw in the end despite trailing 0:2. Olimpija clearly defeated Triglav 5:0 in the domestic Hokejska Liga, with Jaka Sodja scoring a hat-trick. In the win2day ICE Hockey League, things went anything but well for both teams before the International Break. Of their last four games, Innsbruck only beat Asiago 5:4 after overtime. The Sharks were already 3:0 ahead after thirteen minutes. Olimpija have only won two of their last five league games. Accordingly, neither team is currently in the top six in the table. Innsbruck is eighth with 26 points; Olimpija has 22 points and is tenth. The Dragons are four points ahead of the eleventh place. In the first duel of the season, the Tyroleans narrowly won 2:1 in Ljubljana. Olimpija strengthened its defense with Charlie Dodero during the International Break. The 31-year-old already played in the win2day ICE Hockey League between 2019 and 2022 in Graz and Vienna.

In the first duel of the season, PIV won in Graz with 3:1. All four goals were scored in the second period. Overall, it was the Pioneers' third victory over the 99ers in their fifth ICE duel.

The 21st round will be concluded with the game between the HCB Südtirol Alperia and the EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV. The Foxes are currently the hottest team in the league with seven wins in a row and are already back in seventh place in the table despite a weak start to the season. They are just three points behind their sixth-placed local rival from Pustertal. Villach is in third place and only four points behind league leader Salzburg. Before the International Break, the Eagles suffered a 2:4 away derby defeat against the KAC. Before that, they had won three games in a row. The Carinthians celebrated a clear 4:1 home win against Bolzano in their first game of the season. Maximilian Rebernig scored the only brace of his ICE career to date. John Hughes contributed an assist. With 997 points, the 35-year-old native Canadian is now just three points short of the 1000 mark. The forward has already scored 25 points this season. The Canadian forward has terminated his contract with Bolzano by mutual agreement and will now play for the Krefeld Pinguine in the DEL2. Lessio scored five points in 20 appearances for the HCB.
