League leaders Aisulu Almaty also won their second game of the weekend. After Saturday’s 3–1 victory in the finals rematch against the Sabres, the Kazakh side beat the Lakers Kärnten 6–3 on Sunday. Aisulu jumped out to a 4–0 lead within the first 14 minutes before the eighth-placed Lakers got on the board for the first time. It was 5–1 after the opening period, and the game became more balanced afterward; the middle frame even went 2–0 to the Carinthian side. The visitors sealed the 6–3 final score with an empty-net goal 58 seconds before the end.

MAC Budapest also got off to a dream start in their game against the VSV Lady Hawks, taking a 3–0 lead within the first seven minutes. Villach scored their only goal in the 28th minute. It was the second defeat of the weekend in Budapest for the Lady Hawks, who had narrowly lost 4–3 to Budapest Jegkorong Akademia on Saturday.
