Shutout home win for Innsbruck
In Innsbruck's 2-0 win over Fehérvár, goaltender Sam Harvey stood out with 40 saves. The visitors from Hungary set the tone for long stretches of the game but were repeatedly denied by the Sharks' new netminder. At the other end, AVS goaltender Rasmus Reijola only had to make 16 saves. He had no chance on Winston Frimmel's 1-0. When Steven Owre made it 2-0 seven seconds from time, Fehérvár had already gone all in and pulled their goaltender. The goal was the 22-year-old Frimmel's first in the league, coming in his 44th game. It was Innsbruck's first regulation win in their fourth game of the season, while Fehérvár are still waiting for their first win in regulation. Both teams are back in action tomorrow, Sunday.

Fast start sets up road win for Milano
One day after their first loss of the season in Budapest, Milano Hockey Club beat the Vienna Capitals 6-2. The visitors laid the foundation in the first period. In the seventh minute, Giordano Finoro knocked in a rebound on the power play for the 1-0. In the eleventh minute, Michael Dal Colle and Nick Caamano scored 13 seconds apart to make it 3-0. In the middle frame, Shane Gersich (24th) and Scott Kosmachuk (26th) pulled Vienna back to 2-3, but Milano restored a two-goal cushion at 4-2 before the second intermission. In the third period, the visitors added two more goals to seal the final score.
