The EC-KAC has already extended a few weeks ago the cooperation with forward Fabian Hochegger long-term until summer 2026. Fabian Hochegger experienced his "breakout season" in 22-23, the homegrown player scored eleven goals in 50 games and placed himself in a good sixth place in the team's internal goalscoring list. Due to a lower-body injury suffered in the fifth and final quarterfinal game against Villach, the 21-year-old was condemned to spectate in the semifinals, but he was still awarded Young Star of the Season in the win2day ICE Hockey League last week.

Viveiros remains in Villach, Payr moves to Vorarlberg
EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV has agreed on a contract extension with Layne Viveiros, who had supported the "Adler" towards the end of the Regular Season and during the quarterfinals. The 27-year-old defender, who spent a total of seven seasons in the service of EC Red Bull Salzburg, and also played a total of 13 games for the Augsburg Panthers in the DEL in the 20-21 season, moved to Villach on loan from the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg for eight games at the end of February. Julian Payr, who did not play any games for VSV after suffering a shoulder injury in the first game of the season, moved to the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg.
