>>KHL Medvescak Zagreb and EC VSV are the first two teams, who face for the second time in Erste Bank Eishockey League 2017/18. Including the Pre Season it is already the third meeting beetween the Bears and the Eagles. The first two clashes the Austrians won at home (3:0 and 6:1). Now the two clubs will face for the first time at Dom Sportova in Zagreb.
>>The last nine meetings – including two friendly games – were won by the home-club.
>>EC VSV is without a win at Zagreb since January 15th 2012 or 2.094 days. In the last four meetings at Zagreb (including one friendly game in August 2015) the Bears were successful at home. Villach did not even score in their last two games at Croatia.
>>KHL Medvescak Zagreb played strong and was on Fire so far at home: The Bears got points from all four home-games (2 wins) and scored 17 goals! EC VSV won lately two games in a row and travels to Zagreb with much confidence after their win at Innsbruck.

Dennis Teschauer of HC TWK Innsbruck „Die Haie“ was voted EISNER Auto YoungStar of the month September 2017 by the fans, National Team Coach and ServusTV-experts. The 21 years old Forward scored in the first ten round two goals for the Tyroleans.
 
Erste Bank EIshockey League-teams with historic chance
For the first time ever all (3) Erste Bank Eishockey Liga teams, EC-KAC, Vienna Capitals and EC Red Bull Salzburg, can reach the Playoffs in Champions Hockey League. All must win their last game. Vienna is guest at EV Zug on Tuesday, Klagenfurt travels to Zürich on Wednesday and Red Bulls welcome Grizzlies Wolfsburg. One week ago the three Austrians beat their next opponent.
