Zell am See cruises to 7–0 road win in Bregenzerwald

EK Die Zeller Eisbären delivered a commanding performance on Saturday night, earning a dominant 7–0 victory on the road against EC Bregenzerwald. The visitors controlled the game from the opening faceoff, created numerous chances, and allowed almost nothing defensively. Goaltender Alexander Schmidt posted a flawless shutout in a stellar outing.

Despite missing seven players due to injuries and call-ups, Zell am See set the tone early. Peter Putnik opened the scoring just three minutes in after a strong setup from Bohdan Tomazevic and Alexander Lahoda. Philipp Reiner doubled the lead minutes later, and Paul Schmid added a third in the middle frame. In the final period, the Eisbären remained rock solid defensively and extended their lead with four more goals.

Captain Max Wilfan and Fredrik Widen each scored into the empty net, followed by Nathan Huard and Alexander Lahoda, who capped off the 7–0 rout. With this convincing victory, Zell am See not only celebrated its biggest win of the season but also ended Bregenzerwald’s six-game winning streak.
