Jesenice quickly lived up to their role as favourites against Kitzbühel, with Rudolfs Polcs putting the hosts in front after just 29 seconds. After just eleven minutes, the league leaders were already 4:1 ahead. The Slovenians also started the second period with a lot of pressure and quickly increased their lead. David Planko and Luka Ulamec each scored a brace, after 40 minutes it was 7:1. Erik Svetina finally made it 8:1. Jesenice celebrated their twelfth league win in a row and remained unbeaten at home against Kitzbühel - the Slovenians have won all seven games so far.

Red Bull Hockey Juniors beat S.G. Cortina Hafro 4:3 in a highly-entertaining game to stay three points behind Jesenice in second place. Luca Barnabo gave the visitors the lead after a turnover in the neutral zone, a nice combination over the top line with Heigl, Bader and Maier leveled the score before the break. In the middle period, the home side went ahead 3:1, but Cortina managed to pull one back. Quirin Bader restored the two-goal lead in the final period and thus also provided the game winner. The Italians came within one goal, but in the end the Juniors secured their fifth win in a row.

Linz also wins their third home game against Meran
The Steel Wings Linz have had little to cheer about in recent weeks, losing nine in a row. But on Saturday they celebrated their second win of the season at home against Meran. Karlis Bucenieks gave the home side a quick 2:0 lead in the first period, Pascal Brunner halved the deficit in a shorthanded situation. But in the second period the Upper Austrians restored the two-goal lead and finally Manuel Feldbaumer fixed the home victory in the 46th minute. The Steel Wings thus also won their third AHL home game against Meran.

Defeats for Vorarlberg teams
The Rittner Buam and Lustenau started the game swinging and aggressive, but the first goal was a long time coming until the 20th minute: Kevin Puschnik gave the guests the lead 57 seconds before the end of the period on a rebound. Lustenau, however, could not keep the momentum on their side, the home team became stronger in the middle period and equalised: Tavi (32nd) converted Giacomuzzi's strong assistto make it 1:1. Spurred on by the goal, the Rittner Buam now had chances to score every minute, EHC goalie Erik Hanses excelled several times. Shortly after the restart, Tavi turned the game around with his second goal. The decision was made in the 53rd minute when Marzoli netted on a rebound. Robert Öhler scored an empty netter for the 4:1 final score. Ritten won nine out of ten AHL home games against Lustenau.

Gardena celebrated a clear 6:1 victory over Bregenzerwald and thus also won the ninth AHL home game after regular time against the Vorarlberg team. The hosts set the course for victory already in the first period, after 20 minutes it was 5:0. The South Tyroleans scored three times on the power play, Terrence Amorosa and Samuel Moroder each scored a brace. In the middle period, the hosts increased the lead to 6:0 through Kyle Gibbon on the power play again, while the visitors only managed a consolation goal in the third period.

Zell am See record away win
The EK Zell Eisbären secured an away win at the EC KAC Future Team on Saturday afternoon. Head coach Martin Ekrt's side managed a convincing 2:0 win, Hubert Berger providing the two goals. In the 45th minute, the captain scored for the first time after Neubauer's assist, and shortly before the end he added the final goal with an empty netter. Max Zimmermann recorded a shutout with 24 saves and the team from Zell thus also won the second duel of the season.
