The EK Die Zeller Eisbären celebrated a clear 9:1 victory at the EC-KAC Future Team and thus went to the top of the table of the Alps Hockey League. The previous league leader Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan lost at HC Gherdeina valgardena.it with 3:4-OT despite an intermediate 3:0 lead. Anthony DeLuca scored all four goals for the "Furie". League newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje celebrated its first win in the international league. The Slovenians won 4:3 at home against the EHC Lustenau. Also victorious on Saturday were the EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors and S.G. Cortina Hafro.

DeLuca scores four goals to give Val Gardena its first win of the season
The previous league leader Wipptal Broncos Weihenstephan gave at the HC Gherdeina valgardena.it a 3:0 lead out of hand and finally lost with 3:4-OT. Thus, the EK Die Zeller Eisbären, who celebrated a 9:1 win at the EC-KAC Future Team, passed the Broncos in the standings. The Polar Bears have 14 points and now have a one-point lead over Vipiteno, which initially led against Gherdeina after six and a half minutes with 2:0. In the 34th minute Adam Capannelli, with his second goal of the evening, even increased to 3:0. In the final period, however, the moments of Anthony DeLuca came, who scored three goals within eight minutes to make it 3:3 and thus brought Gherdeina back into the game. In the overtime it was finally after 28 seconds again the 28-year-old who shot the Furie to the first win of the season. In total he has scored five goals this season so far.

The EK Die Zeller Eisbären again did not show any weakness at the EC-KAC Future Team and won clearly with 9:1. Eight different players scored. Christian Jennes was the only player to score twice. EKZ goalkeeper Max Zimmermann missed only thirteen seconds for his second shutout in a row. With 28 goals scored and only seven goals against, the Polar Bears have the best offense and the best defense in the league.

Celje celebrated first win in the Alps Hockey League
In the fifth game, league newcomer HK RST Pellet Celje managed its first win in the Alps Hockey League. The Slovenians narrowly beat the EHC Lustenau 4:3 at home on Saturday night. For the Vorarlberg team it was the second defeat within 24 hours. On Friday, they lost at the second Slovenian representative, the reigning champion HDD SIJ Acroni Jesenice, with 3:6. Overall, it was the third defeat of the season for the EHC in the fifth game. Already after 60 seconds Nik Grahut put the newcomer in the lead 1:0. Although Lustenau managed to equalize only a few minutes later, one minute before the end of the first period it was Celje again that scored. In the middle period, the home side even pulled ahead to 4:1 with two goals from captain Jure Sotlar. Lustenau came back to 3:4 until eleven minutes before the end of the game, but in the end they missed the equalizer and Celje could celebrate their first AHL victory.

Overtime and shootout wins for Red Bull Hockey Juniors and Kitzbühel respectively
The EC Die Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel won at home against the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers with 4:3 after shootout. After two defeats in a row, Kitzbühel returned to the winning ways. The Tyrolean team took a 1:0 lead, but by halftime the visitors from Neumarkt were ahead 2:1. In the third period, the Eagles came back and led 3:2 after 49 minutes. Six minutes before the end of the third period, Elmeri Hällfors tied the game and forced an overtime and a shootout. In this one, it was Joonas Niemelä who converted the decisive penalty. In the meantime, the Finn had already scored to equalize the score (2:2).

In addition, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors celebrated their first win of the season in a 2:1-OT home win against the Steel Wings Linz AG. The visitors from Upper Austria led 1:0 until five and a half minutes before the end of the third period after a goal by Mikael Saha in the 17th minute, before the Young Bulls equalized through Daniel Assavolyuk. In overtime, it was finally Finland's Jesse Helander who scored the decider in his first ever Alps Hockey League game.

Runner-up Cortina against Merano without problems
S.G. Cortina Hafro had no problems against the HC Meran/o Pircher. With a 5:1 home victory, the reigning runner-up thus returned to winning ways after the clear 0:3 home defeat against Zell am See on Thursday. For Merano, on the other hand, it was the first defeat after previously winning two games in a row. SGC moved up to seventh place in the standings. After an even opening period, Cortina took the lead in the 16th minute. Eleven seconds before the end of the first period they even increased to 2:0. In the middle period the home side added three more goals, but the guests from South Tyrol also scored once. The final goal was scored by Riccardo Lacedelli in the 45th minute.
