In the only Saturday game of the Master Round, the two last-placed teams meet each other. The EK Zeller Eisbären, after their strong basic round from second place with three bonus points, went into the intermediate round, where they then had to accept three consecutive defeats. Most recently, the Eisbären had to admit defeat in the derby with a 0:3 against the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. EC Bregenzerwald is at an OT win in the Master Round but ranks just behind the Eisbären, as Bregenzerwald went into the intermediate round without bonus points. The two encounters in the first phase of the basic round were each decided by the hosts.

In the Slovenian derby, HK RST Pellet Celje and SIJ Acroni Jesenice compete for a place in the pre-playoffs. Currently, the defending champion, although having played one game less, has an advantage of one point. Nevertheless, Celje can displace their local rivals from the second place in the table. In the Alps Hockey League, the league newcomer has not yet achieved a derby victory. However, Celje recently achieved a 5:3 success in the Hokejska Liga. Celje also had a better start in the intermediate round: They won two of their three games so far.

Gherdeina recorded a win and a loss in their two games so far in the intermediate round, thus standing at five points – two points behind a pre-playoff spot. Gröden decided both previous encounters for themselves, scoring six goals each time. Especially Brad McGowan seems to be a good match for HC Meran/o: He scored three of his 13 season goals in this pairing.

In the duel between the EC-KAC Future Team and EHC Lustenau, the two currently last-placed in Qualification Round B meet each other. At least Lustenau will mix in the race for the pre-playoff places. The Vorarlberg team played two games less than their competitors in the top places and recorded a full success. The deficit to the pre-playoff places is only four points. The EC-KAC Future Team has played two games so far and was able to take one point from them.
