EK Zeller Eisbären defended their top spot after a hard-fought battle against Rittner Buam. Following a scoreless opening period, the home team from Ritten took the lead as Adam Giacomuzzi found the back of the net in the 26th minute. The response came in the 34th minute, courtesy of Philip Putnik, who tied the game for the Eisbären. Neither team managed to secure the game-winning goal in the final period. After a goalless overtime, Robin Johansson scored the decisive penalty to seal the victory. With this win, Zell not only kept the Rittner Buam at bay but also fended off the challenge from the Kitzbühel Adler.

The Adler Stadtwerke Kitzbühel continued their impressive run on Thursday evening, securing their fifth consecutive win and climbing to second place in the standings. The Adler earned a 4-2 home win against the top-five team SIJ Acroni Jesenice. However, the visitors from Slovenia struck first in the opening period. Just before the end of the period, the hosts managed to equalize. A hard-fought second period remained goalless. In the final frame, Kitzbühel turned on the jets, scoring twice in three-and-a-half minutes to take control. While Jesenice managed to pull one back, they were unable to force overtime.

KHL Sisak, previously on a six-game losing streak, has now recorded back-to-back wins within three days. On Wednesday, the league newcomer secured a 5-1 victory over HK RST Pellet Celje. The key player was Carson Briere, who scored to open all three periods, completing a hat trick. While HK RST Pellet Celje managed to score a consolation goal in the second period, they struggled to keep up with the Croatian side for the remainder of the game.

In the South Tyrolean derby, the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers edged out HC Meran/o with a 4-3 overtime win. Meran/o, currently at the bottom of the standings, initially seemed out of contention as the Cavaliers built a 3-0 lead by the 29th minute. However, Meran/o fought back goal by goal in the final period, eventually tying the game at 3-3 with Skate Skalde’s equalizer in the 52nd minute. In overtime, Kristians Samitis delivered the game-winning goal, securing the win for the Cavaliers.
