With the EC-KAC and the HCB Südtirol Alperia, last year's finalists of the win2day ICE Hockey League are already facing each other in the Pre-Playoffs. In the final series in 2021, the KAC clearly prevailed with 4:1 victories. In the current season, however, both teams were unable to match their performances of the previous season and ended up missing out on the Top-6 and thus the direct quarterfinal qualification. While Bolzano could only win one of the past five matches, the KAC were not victorious in any of the past five encounters. In three games they did not even manage to score a goal. The EC-KAC and the Foxes faced each other three times on the ice in the Regular Season. In two duels, both in front of the home crowd, the South Tyroleans narrowly retained the upper hand (3:2 & 1:0). In the Stadthalle Klagenfurt, however, the KAC prevailed with 4:2.

Wed, 02.03.2022, 19:45: HC Tesla Orli Znojmo - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: GROZNIK, TRILAR, Gatol, Konc. | >> PULS 24 <<
PULS 24 broadcasts the match between the HC Tesla Orli Znojmo and the Moser Medical Graz99ers at the start of the Pre-Playoffs. The live broadcast will start at 19:25 and is available worldwide. While Znojmo, in seventh place, only narrowly missed a direct quarter-final spot, Graz, in tenth place, just made it into the pre-playoffs. The Czechs were only one goal short of direct playoff qualification in the end against Pustertal in the direct duel for the 6th place. For the 99ers, Wednesday's game will be their first game since February 22nd. Both matches last weekend with the Styrians had to be cancelled due to medical precautions. Before that, they celebrated three wins from the past five games. Znojmo always scored at least one point in the past five games, only against Pustertal they lost twice after overtime and shootout. At home, the best home team in the league for a long time has been struggling lately, with three defeats in a row. Graz, in turn, could win only one of the past seven away games. On the side of the Czech Eagles, especially the offense is the big strength. With Radek Prokes and Anthony Luciani two players are ex-aequo on the second place in the scoring charts (51 points). With a powerplay efficiency of 25.55%, they also have the best power play in the league. Znojmo won two out of three direct duels with the 99ers this season.
