Thu, 06.01.2022, 17:30: HC TIWAG Innsbruck - EC GRAND Immo VSV
Referees: K. NIKOLIC, SCHAUER, Martin, Nothegger | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

The last four games could not have been more different for Innsbruck and Villach. While the Tyroleans, who are missing some players at the moment, failed to pick up a single point and slipped to tenth place, VSV celebrated four victories after the clear derby defeat in Klagenfurt. On Tuesday, the seventh-placed Eagles even managed a derby revenge with a 4:3 win after overtime. With 115 goals scored, the Blue-Whites currently have the best offence in the league. In contrast to the last few years, HCI is not among the top teams in this statistic with "only" 83 goals. The first two duels of the season, both of which took place in Villach, were not decided in regulation time - once Innsbruck won in overtime, most recently VSV kept the upper hand in a shootout.

Thu, 06.01.2022, 18:30: Tesla Orli Znojmo - spusu Vienna Capitals
Referees: PIRAGIC, SMETANA, Konc, Riecken | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

Vienna and Znojmo last met on 28 December, when the Viennese - who also lead in the season comparison with 2:1 wins - earned home win. Two days later, both teams conceded a defeat and have been without a game since. While the Capitals are in fourth place before the "East derby", the Czechs slipped to eleventh place and are currently outside the playoff ranks. Znojmo have won eleven of their 16 games at Nevoga Arena so far. Vienna is also one of the weaker away teams with seven wins and ten losses. The first duel in Znojmo also went narrowly to the Eagles with 5:4.

Thu, 06.01.2022, 19:15: EC-KAC - Moser Medical Graz99ers
Referees: BULOVEC, STERNAT, Muzsik, Vaczi | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

Both the KAC and Graz had to admit defeat to VSV in their respective last games. The 99ers, currently in eighth place, saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end. However, the Styrians were able to significantly improve their performance away from home during the course of the season: While they only won one of their first ten road games, they have now won seven of their last eight. Graz are also the only team that the Carinthians have not yet been able to beat this season. The tight personnel situation at the currently sixth-placed EC-KAC is not expected to change significantly compared to the game in Villach on Tuesday.

Thu, 06.01.2022, 19:45: HCB Südtirol Alperia - Dornbirn Bulldogs
Referees: M. NIKOLIC, TRILAR, Basso, Rigoni | >> PPV-LIVESTREAM <<

While Bolzano won their first game of the new year on Tuesday (4:1 in Innsbruck) and moved up to second place, Dornbirn conceded an away defeat against HC Pustertal. The team from Vorarlberg is in second last place and, like last-place Linz, has an average of less than one point per game. The fight for the playoff positions is nevertheless tight. The gap between leader Salzburg and first chaser Bolzano (0.373) is currently bigger than the one between second and eleventh (0.301). It is the fourth meeting between HCB and the Bulldogs this season: twice the White Reds won in the Messestadion (with 3:5 and 2:4), while the Vorarlbergers were successful in the Eiswelle with 5:2. For Bolzano, the appearances of Mike Halmo and Luca Frigo are doubtful. The injured Simon Pitschieler and Dylan Di Perna will definitely be absent. The coaching staff will also decide whether newcomer Gabriele Parini (>> more information) will get ice time in tomorrow's match.
