Znojmo celebrates 6th win in a row

In the only game on Monday between the HC TWK Innsbruck 'Die Haie' and the HC Orli Znojmo, the guests from the Czech Republic were able to continue their triumphal march and win the sixth game in a row. Thanks to the 4:2 away win "The Eagles" are already in fifth place in the league. For Innsbruck, however, the downward trend continued. "The Sharks" lost the sixth game in a row. In the table, they are in tenth place.

From the beginning, the guests from the Czech Republic were the dominant team, but Innsbruck scored the first goal. After a mistake by ZNO goalkeeper Dominik Groh, Joel Broda scored the 1:0 after just under three minutes. However, Znojmo was not impressed by the early goal and was able to equalize in the 12th minute through Petr Mrazek. With the score of 1:1 the first period ended.

There were scoring chances on both sides at the beginning of the second period. In the 27th minute it was again Innsbruck who got the lead. Only twelve seconds later the Czechs equalised again and again it was Petr Mrazek who scored. After this no more goals fell in the second period.

In the final period Znojmo took the lead for the first time. Ondrej Miklis scored his first goal for Znojmo. In the sequel the HCI tried everything to score the equaliser, but just under three minutes before the end of the game Philip McRae made the final decision for the HC Orli Znojmo, which is now in fith place in the league table.
