ZSC Lions clinch CHL title

The ZSC Lions secured the Champions Hockey League title on Tuesday. The Swiss team defeated Swedish representative Färjestad Karlstad 2:1 in front of their home crowd, with Vinzenz Rohrer becoming the second Austrian to win Europe's greatest ice hockey competition.

Sven Andrighetto scored twice, including the game-winner at 32:33, and Šimon Hrubec made 31 of 32 saves as ZSC Lions Zurich brought the European Trophy back to Switzerland with a nail-biting 2-1 victory over Färjestad Karlstad. The Swedes scored late to bring the game to within one, but a dominant defensive effort from the Swiss side helped secure their well-deserved win in the 2024/25 Champions Hockey League Final.
