The EC-KAC prevailed with 6-0 in the 342nd Carinthian derby and celebrated its 15th consecutive home win over the EC-GRAND Immo VSV. In the fourth and for the time being last season duel it was the third victory for the KAC. Players of the game were Manuel Ganahl and Niklas Würschl with two goals, as well as goalkeeper Sebastian Dahm, who celebrated his sixth shutout of the season. The Klagenfurt team set the tone from the start in front of 1773 spectators. However, they only led with 1:0 after the first period, with defender Niklas Würschl putting the home side ahead in the tenth minute. For the 22-year-old it was the first goal of the season and the second goal for the Redcoats. In the middle period, the KAC quickly scored the second goal through Steven Strong (24.), but then failed to make the early decision. However, the new third in the table managed to do so at the beginning of the final period. Villach's resistance was then broken and Klagenfurt added three more goals. Despite the defeat, the Eagles remain sixth in the table.
