At the ordinary general assembly in Salzburg all 13 clubs took part. In addition to the formal agenda, the BEMER Pioneers Vorarlberg were accepted as a full league member one year after joining. Furthermore, the even stronger positioning of the transnational league was discussed on Wednesday, among other things. All clubs reaffirmed the importance of internationality, which is at the heart of the future orientation. The strong as well as independent brand is now to be specified in a positioning process in the most important core values, in the design and in the key message. In collaboration with an external agency specializing in positioning, the first steps will be taken in the coming weeks to further enhance the league's appeal.

2023-24 season starts in 100 days
On Friday, September 15th in exactly 100 days the win2day ICE Hockey League will start with the same participants as in the last season. The season mode remains unchanged, as the Regular Season will be played with 48 games per team, meaning that all 13 teams will play each other four times in a total of 312 games. The regular game days will be Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The teams ranked first to sixth after the Regular Season qualify directly for the quarterfinals. The teams in seventh to tenth place will contest the pre-playoffs in "best-of-3" mode, with the winners of the two series completing the field for the quarterfinals. Both the quarterfinals, the semifinals and the final will be played in "best-of-7" mode.

Champion EC Red Bull Salzburg, HCB Südtirol Alperia and HC TIWAG Innsbruck – Die Haie enter the competition two weeks before their league rivals. They will represent the win2day ICE Hockey League in the Champions Hockey League campaign, which begins on August 31st.

League President Jochen Pildner-Steinburg: "There were very constructive discussions in the General Assembly, in which important course was set for the future. All participants agreed that the win2day ICE Hockey League has even more potential. This is to be called up with an even better positioning. Soon we will be able to present the first steps to make the league more attractive. We will use the next 100 days until the start of the season in the best possible way and want to take the momentum from the playoffs into the new campaign."
