The EC GRAND Immo VSV kept the upper hand at iClinic Bratislava Capitals with 5:0. For the team from Villach it was the third win in the seventh duel with the Slovaks. After a goalless first 20 minutes, the guests turned up the heat in the middle period. First, John Hughes gave the visitors the lead with his 250th league goal in the 24th minute of the game. The Canadian shot his 251st goal just a short time later, as the 33-years-old scored in minute 38 to make it 3:0. Philipp Lindner increased the lead to 2:0 in the meantime (31.). Scott Kosmachuk provided VSV's fourth and final goal in the second period just 23 seconds after the 3:0. The Capitals then changed the goalkeeper. Connor LaCouvee, who had only a save percentage of 83.3%, had to leave the goal for Samuel Baros. In the final period, Jamie Fraser scored with about two minutes left to make it 5:0. For Andreas Bernard, in the goal of the "Eagles", it was the second shutout this season. In the table Villach moves up to sixth place. Bratislava is tenth in the table.

Bolzano wins again in Salzburg
Also in the third game of the season between the EC Red Bull Salzburg and the HCB Südtirol Alperia at the Eisarena Salzburg, the guests from South Tyrol prevailed. In the 4:1 victory, however, the Red Bulls had a dream start. Peter Schneider gave the home side the lead after just twelve seconds. But the Foxes' answer came shortly afterwards. In the fifth minute of the game Brett Findlay equalized for the guests. After that, it was a long wait before Leonardo Felicetti scored on a counterattack in the 45th minute to make it 2:1 for Bolzano. It was the 21-years-old's first goal in his third game in the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League. The forward is normally under contract with the SHC Fassa Falcons in the Alps Hockey League and is currently on loan from Bolzano. The final decision in favor of the guests came five minutes later through Domenic Alberga. Keegan Lowe scored again just one minute later to make it 4:1. It was the fourth win in a row for the Foxes.
