On Friday, in the 11th round of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga the 326th Carinthian Derby between the EC-KAC and the EC Panaceo VSV takes place. The traditional duel will be broadcasted live on Sky Sport Austria 1 HD from 19:00. In addition, the EHC LIWEST Black Wings Linz (@Graz) and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 (@Salzburg) get the chance to reciprocate for their off in last year's quarter-final.

  • The 326th Carinthian Derby between the EC-KAC and the EC Panaceo VSV takes place in the Klagenfurter Stadthalle which is alredy sold out.
  • The Derby will be broadcasted live on Sky Sport Austria 1 HD from 19:00.
  • Klagenfurt won 167 and Villach 139 out of a total of 325 derbies. In addition, there were 19 draws, which were followed by neither an overtime nor a shootout.
  • The last three derbies have been won by the "redjackets", who are also unbeaten in home games for six matches. The last victory of Villach in Klagenfurt was on February 2nd 2016 (5:1).
  • Of the last ten derbies Klagenfurt has won nine.
  • After ten rounds the VSV is currently on second place in the league table. The KAC is in fourth place and due to three wins in a row they are only one point behind his rival.

  • The second edition of last year's "best-of-7" quarter-final series of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga takes place in Salzburg. There the EC Red Bull Salzburg meets Hydro Fehérvár AV19.
  • While Salzburg has scored in every game this season and has lost only one of its home games against Linz in overtime and is at the top of the league table, the Hungarians have been without a victory for about a month (7:6 OT on September 22 against Innsbruck).
  • Including the quarter-final series won by Salzburg last year with 4:2, there were 68 matches between these two teams. In 41 games the Bulls were successful.
  • In Salzburg, Fehérvár has always had a tough time, winning only four out of their last 15 meetings.
  • On Thursday Fehérvár has reinforced yet another import player with Félix Girard. The 25-year-old striker will play for the first time in Europe. Last he was active for Adriondack Thunder in the ECHL. Next week he should first play for Fehérvár.
