On Friday the Moser Medical Graz99ers defeated EC Red Bull Salzburg and clinched a playoff spot. Fehervar AV19 defended their sixth place with a fourth season win against EC-KAC. Leader spusu Vienna Capitals and the Liwest Black Wings Linz came back from 0:2 deficit to win their home games.

The Moser Medical Graz99ers are playoff bound thanks to a home win against Salzburg. Dwight King opening the scoring after only two minutes but Thomas Raffl tied it later in the first. Despite the Red Bulls being the better team early in the second, Graz retook the lead. Colton Yellow Horn scored on power play, goals from Jakobsson and Loney put Graz 4:1 ahead. Salzburg struck back in the final period with Harris getting a second and Raffl even made it a one-goal game. Ty Loney's fifth for Graz was the game winner as Salzburg could only score one more.

The Capitals were able to turn the game against Villach because of their strong powerplay game. Contrary to the course of the game, Nico Brunner took the lead for the visitors. Two minutes later, the Carinthians were able to celebrate again when Markus Schlacher added a second. A powerplay goal, scored by Andreas Nödl, shortened the lead. Only 67 seconds later the home team was able to equalize the game by Vause. In the last third the Caps took the lead for the first time. Vause made it 3:2. Villach's penalty killing weakness remained and Nödl scored his second powerplay goal of the night rounded off the scoring for a final 5:2.

The hosts missed the chance for an ealry playoff participation opportunity against Fehervar. The dominant Klagenfurt side was not able to turn their dominance on the ice into goals. With only the second shot in the second period the Hungarians took the lead by Sarauer. Already three minutes after the lead, Fehervar succeeded again and Meland made it 2:0. Adam Comrie shortened the Hungarians' lead in the third period by scoring in the 44th minute. Just seconds after killing a penalty, Meland succeeded again. Fehervar ended Klagenfurt's winning streak and remained their feared season opponent.

The debut of new Linz head coach Tom Rowe already had an impact by leading them to their victory against Innsbruck. The home team started very enthusiastic but also the guests tried to generate, especially their counter attacks were always dangerous. In the ninth minute the sharks took the lead. Tyler Spurgeon's face off win opened the way for John Lammers who scored under the crossbar. Five minutes later Alexandre Lavoie doubled the lead for Innsbruck. Just one minute before the end of the first period Dan DaSilva got Linz on the score board. In the second period the dominance of the home team increased and finally payed off, when Michael Davies scored the equalizer. Except a few dangerous mistakes by Tom Rowe's defense, the Linz side dominated the game and took the lead in the 42nd minute by Andreas Kristler. Davies scored the final goal for Linz and the black wings were able to beat Innsbruck 4:2

Bolzano earned their first home win of 2019 with ten players scoring in a 11:0 win against Medvescak Zagreb. Matt MacKenzie and Markus Nordlund scored the only first-period goals with Zagreb becoming tired in the course of the game. After four more goals in the second, the hosts made it double-digit in the third. Jordan Rowley added the last after 53 minutes.
